Photos of the event can be viewed here:
Any more links more than welcome. Mail them to me at "home at charsley.com". If you can't easily put them online, just mail me the photos and I'll put them on one of my pages. With the exception of the official photographer (whose website allows already you to order photos) if you want prints of any of the photos but don't know the photographer personally, let me know and I'll put you in touch with them, as they probably have better quality versions of the pictures on their local computer
The rest of the page can be safely ignored now I think. If you still need to know how to get to the church, it's probably a little late...
NB Any changes made since the original paper copy sent with the invite are in red
And some more changes (just after Christmas) in a tasteful shade of green
There are a couple of email groups:
To join them, look at the archives etc, look athttp://lists.herald.co.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/charsley-wedding-announce and http://lists.herald.co.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/charsley-wedding-chat
Presents are of course not necessary, but should anyone wish to get us something :o) then we have set up a list at www.wrapit.co.uk. You'll need to click on Guests, and then enter one of our names. No the site isn't well enough designed for me to give you a direct URL :o(
Epping is basically on the road (the B1393) between junction 26 of the M25 (to the South-West) and junction 7 of the M11 (to the North-East). In each case Epping is sign-posted on the roundabout after you come off at the junction. The bit of the B1393 that’s known as Epping High Street has plenty of restaurants, cafes and fast food outlets for lunch beforehand.
NB there are some roadworks on the M25 near Enfield, which usually cause a bit of a tailback on Saturday lunchtimes. Those travelling clockwise around the M25 (e.g. from the North or West) should probably allow an 30 minutes to be on the safe side.
We recommend The Clocktower: http://www.clocktowerrestaurants.co.uk/ 01992 575 707, 4 Station Road, Epping, Essex, CM16 4HA (open from 11am)
From Epping train station, travel to the far North East end of the Central Line, turn right out of the station, left at the end of the road and walk uphill. You’ll get to Epping High Street in about 5-10 minutes. All Saints Church (Epping Upland Church) is, supposedly, walkable from here, but from descriptions (we haven’t yet done it ourselves) it sounds like a nice, bracing cross-country hike, so we wouldn’t advise it: probably best to get a taxi or share a lift.
The more observant may spot a large church on the High Street. That isn’t where we’re having the wedding. Instead head to the North East end of the High Street (i.e. towards Harlow, with Tesco and the large church on your left, and the signposts for the station pointing right). Soon after you run out of shops, you’ll encounter a village green affair to the left. There you should see a signpost to Epping Green and Roydon, take the signposted road, and you should find yourself on the B181 (note previous versions of this document referred to the B182. That was wrong). Keep on travelling along the road, following the signposts to Epping Green (there’s only one major junction on the route). After 5-10 minutes’ drive you should see a church on your left. That’s Epping Upland Church, where we are having the wedding. If you get as far as Epping Green itself, you’ve gone too far. Turn around and look for a church on your right :o)
For those with SatNav: just look for Epping Upland. The place is too small for the church to have any address other than "Epping Upland Church".
There is a fairly large car park behind the church.

The reception itself is held in Fanhams Hall Hotel, in Ware. (also see the ‘Useful contacts’ section). Turn left out of the church and follow the B181 to Epping Green, then Roydon, then Stanstead Abbotts, then Great Amwell and the A1170. Once you get there, you can follow the map provided by Fanhams Hall at http://www.fanhamshallhotel.co.uk/pdf/map.pdf . It’s about a 45 minute drive.
